ASMOFP™ Modular Offshore Floating Platform R&D
TBP’s ASMOFP™ Research and Development Programme is advancing the Adaptable Standardised Modular Offshore Floating Platform as a scalable, ready-to-assemble offshore infrastructure system. The platform combines configurable modular deck units with clustered open-bottom pneumatic buoyancy cylinders, enabling multiple platform shapes, sizes and operational uses.
The R&D programme focuses on structural performance, hydrodynamics, buoyancy and stability, modular interlocking systems, advanced concrete composites, corrosion-resistant reinforcement, waterproofing, lifecycle durability and cost-efficient global fabrication. ASMOFP™ is being developed to support floating ports, maritime logistics hubs, offshore energy and hydrogen infrastructure, floating data centres, transshipment facilities and other large-scale ocean-based applications.
